The Best Cranberry Sauce (Ever!) 🍊✨
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. bag of fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 strip orange or lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions:
- Pour your cranberries into a saucepan, setting aside 1/2 cup in a small bowl to add in later for a little extra texture.
- Add the sugar, zest, and water to the saucepan, and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the cranberries soften—about 10 minutes.
- Turn up the heat to medium and cook until the cranberries start to burst (around 12 minutes).
- Reduce the heat to low, stir in the reserved cranberries for a fresh pop, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper if you like.
- Let it cool to room temperature before serving. Enjoy the beautiful balance of tart and sweet with your holiday meal!
